This stunningly imposing natural holiday house with powerful river views is the perfect getaway to achieve tranquility. Situated in Egmont Village only a ten minute drive from New Plymouth, also only a 10 min drive to Egmont National Park where you can take in our majestic Mt Taranaki. NPL Mountain Bikers club at Lake Mangamhoe is just a few minutes away, you can even ride your bike there! Some of the greatest mountain bike rides you can do in Taranaki.

Contemporary in design with a river and rural back drop, the house has mid century touches with warm timber and suspended ceiling providing a great sense of space. Two well appointed relaxed and comfortable living areas, both of which open beautifully to the outdoors. After a day out exploring, curl up and listen to the calming river flowing. A fully equipped kitchen with high-end appliances will make cooking a pleasure.

Perfect for the family getaway featuring various wings of the home providing space and privacy for everyone. Five spacious bedrooms all with comfortable beds and quality bed linen for a restful nights sleep. Two modern bathrooms on both levels of the house and an extra toilet room on the main living level. Great attention to detail for guest comfort including plenty of off street parking, 2 x heat pumps, unlimited Wifi, fully equipped laundry and a large smart tv and surround sound system.

If you are looking for an escape that provides tranquility, peace and quiet and a luxurious feel, this is for you. Book today. Enjoy brunch at Simply Divine Cafe 3kms away in Egmont Village. Dine at the popular Quails Nest a wonderful culinary experience. Strictly no parties or gatherings.

Please note the cleaning fee: All linen & towels are provided by a commercial linen company and are professionally laundered. Properties have been cleaned prior to guests arrival to meet the Ministry of Health commercial cleaning standards. A part end of stay cleaning service is included. This covers the cleaning of bathrooms, mopping and rubbish removal. Guests are required to leave the property in a tidy and clean state all dishes are washed/the dishwasher loaded and turned on prior to departure.

All Bach Break properties come well equipped with cooking oil, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, milk, cleaning products, dishwasher tablets, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, liquid hand soap and body wash.

Other Details:

The property is very well equipped with most things you will need on holiday. If you use a hair dryer we ask that you bring one with you as hair dryers aren't supplied.

A really comfortable and stylish, well appointed home in a scenic setting. Close to Taranaki National park and New Plymouth. A little low on kitchen linen but that’s really the only quibble!

Even better than expected

Amazing property, from the outlook over a stream to the views of Mt Taranaki. Property was very clean, well equipt, peaceful and only 10 mins drive to the centre of town. Would have loved to stay longer!

Lived up to it's name.

Serenity Lodge lived up to its name and gave our three generational family a holiday we all treasured. Yes, it was immaculate, large and provided thoroughly modern kitchen, bathrooms and many other amenities. However, some of our fondest memories involved deck time with grandchildren while they shared their adventures, taking in the view of the mountain and making the most of the beautiful stream at the bottom of the property. This was definitely the ‘babbling brook’ to lull you to sleep, provide boulders for children to clamber over, a small swimming space and a selection of rocks which on examination illustrated the volcanic nature of the New Plymouth area. A beautiful property.

Lovely with the sound of rolling water from the little river and lovely views of the mountain. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room. The only down side was the lack of serving dishes (one) as we ate at home every night. There were a few platters though. Also the beds were very small. I’d obviously forgotten just how small a queen bed is. A shame as there was plenty of room for bigger beds. It does say Queen though, so I guess I shouldn’t moan. Overall amazing place though.

Tranquil luxury

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful tranquil spot with the soothing sounds of the river on one side and the majestic mountain on the other. The house has loads of space. We were three couples and had plenty of room to spare. Decks on two sides meant we could dine alfresco for every meal. The well-equipped kitchen is a great hub of the home and has everything you need to prepare a feast. Lovely bathrooms with great showers! Nice to have the option of a fire as well as heat pumps. It’s a warm home though so you don’t need them much. Overall has a lovely inviting family home feel. We would definitely stay here again. Absolutely recommend a visit to the Manutahi Museum down the road. The people at BachCare were friendly and attentive but the automated booking system needs some serious work. I would recommend just ringing them direct.
